About Me
Dr. Cris Martin P. Jacoba is a medical retina and comprehensive ophthalmology specialist with a strong focus on vision preservation in people with diabetes. A clinician-scientist and educator, he partners closely with patients to build trust, listen carefully, and translate complex findings into clear next steps. His care integrates meticulous examination with modern imaging and treatments so plans are precise, practical, and aligned with each person’s goals.
Dr. Jacoba completed fellowship training in Medical Retina at the Joslin Diabetes Center/Massachusetts Eye and Ear (Harvard Ophthalmology), where he served as Chief Fellow, and completed additional glaucoma research training at the Hamilton Glaucoma Center at UC San Diego. He serves as a Lecturer in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. In clinic he manages diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease, flashes and floaters, and other retinal conditions, offering laser, injections, and evidence-based therapies to protect and restore sight.
