About Me
Dr. Scott Limstrom has been a trusted retina specialist at Alaska Retinal Consultants since 2003, bringing extensive experience in diagnosing and managing complex retinal and vitreous conditions. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and completed advanced fellowship training in the retina and vitreous, ensuring patients receive highly specialized care.
Dr. Limstrom earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Northern Arizona University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Arizona, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and earned the Outstanding Senior Award. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Arizona and a fellowship in retina and vitreous diseases at the University of Nebraska.
Prior to joining Alaska Retinal Consultants, Dr. Limstrom provided comprehensive ophthalmological care at Ophthalmic Associates in Anchorage from 1996 to 2002. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Alaska State Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Limstrom has contributed to the field by co-authoring numerous articles on vitreoretinal disease research.
