Dr. Saumya Shah

Dr. Saumya Shah is a vitreoretinal surgeon who treats medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. She earned her medical degree from Mayo Medical School, completed an ophthalmology residency at Mayo Clinic, and pursued fellowship training in retinal surgery at the USC Roski Eye Institute. Dr. Shah’s care blends meticulous imaging and examination with practical conversations about the benefits and risks of injections, laser therapy, or surgery.

She works closely with each patient’s primary and referring doctors to protect vision and prevent complications, and she is experienced caring for urgent retinal conditions as well as chronic diseases that require long-term follow-up.
