Dr. Sandra Cremers

Dr. Sandra Lora Cremers is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in dry eye disease, cataract surgery, and comprehensive eye care. She is recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and has extensive experience treating conditions such as dry eye, rosacea, blepharitis, and glaucoma.

Dr. Cremers completed her medical education through the Dartmouth University and Brown University Joint Program in Medicine, followed by an internal medicine internship at Mount Auburn Hospital through Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency training at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary affiliated with New York Medical College. She has contributed to ophthalmic surgical education as a co-author of the Ophthalmic Surgical Procedures Textbook and has performed thousands of cataract surgeries. Dr. Cremers is one of the few surgeons worldwide performing Meibomian Gland Probing for dry eye and related ocular surface conditions.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Cremers sees patients at the Rockville office of Visionary Eye Doctors, where she focuses on helping patients find relief from eye discomfort and vision loss through advanced surgical and medical treatments.
