Meet Dr. Robert H Chu

Dr. Robert Chu is a board-certified ophthalmologist based in Rockville, Maryland. He founded Washington Eye Consultants in 1992 and has since built a practice focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical correction of a wide range of eye conditions. Dr. Chu serves as the Medical Director of the Palisades Eye Surgery Center and was among the first eye surgeons in the Washington area to perform laser-assisted (femtosecond) cataract surgery. He treats conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. Dr. Chu is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Dr. Chu offers comprehensive eye care services including premium cataract surgery with advanced lens implants, LASIK vision correction, contact lens fitting, and cosmetic treatments such as Botox, fillers, and eyelid surgery.
