About Me
Dr. Sandeep Randhawa is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Associated Retinal Consultants, serving patients in southeast Michigan. He specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and has an active clinical practice. Dr. Randhawa is also an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where he integrates teaching with patient care.
Dr. Randhawa graduated valedictorian with honors and distinctions from Christian Medical College in India. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by a two-year comprehensive fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He also completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Iowa, providing him with a broad expertise in complex retinal and neurological eye conditions.
An active researcher, Dr. Randhawa has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and numerous book chapters. He frequently presents at national retina meetings and serves as a scientific reviewer for retina and ophthalmology journals. His contributions to the field have been recognized by his induction into the Retina Society and his nomination among America’s Leading Doctors by Newsweek in 2025.
