Dr. Ramon Lee is a board-certified retina specialist at Illinois Retina Associates who treats the full spectrum of medical and surgical diseases of the retina and macula. His expertise includes care for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears and detachments, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, and secondary intraocular lens issues. He strives to combine precise diagnostics with clear, compassionate communication so patients understand their options at every step.

Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC Medical Center. He then completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Associated Retinal Consultants & William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Lee serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Rush University Medical Center and speaks English and Cantonese. He has published in leading journals and enjoys partnering with patients and families to protect and restore vision.
