Dr. Bruce Garretson

Dr. Bruce Garretson is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retina and vitreous conditions. He provides care for a range of retinal disorders, including retinal detachments, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous hemorrhages, and macular holes. Dr. Garretson sees adult and older adult patients, and he is affiliated with Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Dr. Garretson completed his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine, followed by an internship in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School and a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He then pursued a fellowship in ophthalmology at Mayo Medical School. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
