Dr. Ronald Frenkel

Dr. Ronald Frenkel is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder of East Florida Eye Institute. Since 1989, he has served the Treasure Coast community, offering advanced diagnostic and treatment options for a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. He is a nationally recognized medical retina specialist, also fellowship-trained in glaucoma, and brings a unique multi-specialist perspective to managing complex eye diseases.

Dr. Frenkel served on the voluntary faculty as a professor of ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and has contributed extensively to clinical research, including over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts and more than 90 clinical trials. His dedication to innovation and compassionate care ensures that patients receive the latest advancements in eye health.
