About Me
Dr. Luis J. Haddock is a vitreoretinal and macular diseases surgeon at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he also serves as the Palm Beach Medical Retina fellowship program director and an Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on the treatment of complex retinal conditions, including retinal detachments, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and vascular occlusions. He is particularly interested in integrating surgical innovation and advanced imaging technology to improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Haddock completed his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Since 2014, he has been an attending physician at Bascom Palmer, where he also conducts clinical trials and research on retinal diseases, diabetic macular edema, and novel diagnostic techniques such as mobile fundoscopy.
