About Me
Dr. Rohan Shah is a board-certified retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon serving the Chattanooga and Southeast Tennessee communities. A Tennessee native, he brings a deep understanding of the region to his practice at Southeastern Retina Associates.
Dr. Shah completed his medical education at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, followed by ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago. He further specialized through a vitreoretinal disease and surgery fellowship at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, where he was awarded the J. Donald M. Gass, MD Endowed Fellowship. His expertise includes treating conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and macular holes.
Committed to advancing retinal care, Dr. Shah is active in clinical research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in leading ophthalmic journals. He looks forward to educating the community and providing compassionate, state-of-the-art treatment to his patients.
