About Me
Dr. Francis Char DeCroos is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon at Southeastern Retina Associates. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusion, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. DeCroos actively participates in clinical trials, offering patients access to emerging treatments for retinal diseases.
Dr. DeCroos completed his medical degree at Duke University Medical School and his ophthalmology residency at Duke Eye Center. He then pursued a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, a leading institution for ophthalmology. Throughout his training, he received several awards for research and service. He has presented at international meetings and published numerous peer-reviewed articles in top ophthalmology journals.
