Dr. Robert Gokey

Dr. Robert Gokey is a vitreoretinal specialist who treats diseases of the retina and vitreous, including retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. He is board-certified and provides both in-office therapies and advanced surgical care, working to deliver clear explanations and shared decision-making for every patient. A Minot native, he is committed to expanding high-quality retina care for patients across northwestern North Dakota.

Dr. Gokey earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota and completed ophthalmology residency at Ochsner–Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Missouri in Columbia. His practice includes modern intravitreal injection protocols, retinal laser procedures, and surgical repair of complex retinal disorders.
