Dr. Marina Gilca

Dr. Marina Gilca is a retina specialist who provides medical and surgical care for a wide range of vitreoretinal diseases. She evaluates sudden vision changes and chronic retinal conditions and tailors treatment plans using the full spectrum of modern therapies, including in-office medications and laser procedures as well as operating-room surgery when needed. Patients appreciate her calm, thorough explanations and step-by-step guidance throughout care.

Dr. Gilca completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Montreal and a vitreoretinal fellowship with Illinois Retina Associates at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She earned her medical degree from McGill University and completed early college study at Champlain St. Lawrence College and McGill. She collaborates closely with referring doctors and families to coordinate follow-up and long-term monitoring so patients can protect and preserve their vision.
