Dr. Richard Hession

Dr. Richard Hession is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery. He provides expert care for a wide range of eye conditions, focusing on surgical and medical treatments to improve and preserve vision for his patients.

Dr. Hession earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. His training included a transitional year internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, equipping him with broad clinical experience.

He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018 and is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered eye care.
