About Me
Dr. Snehaa Maripudi is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She cares for adults with a wide range of eye conditions and performs cataract surgery to help patients see more clearly and comfortably. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology, she combines an academic approach with practical, day-to-day problem solving for people experiencing changes in their vision.
Dr. Maripudi earned her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completed an internal medicine internship at UT Southwestern, and stayed to complete her ophthalmology residency, where she served patients in both clinic and hospital settings. She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024 and continues to teach trainees while providing patient care.
She has presented at meetings, contributed to the book Eyes on Call: Ophthalmology Call Survival Bag, and published articles related to eye health. Her care is centered on listening to patients’ concerns, explaining options clearly, and tailoring treatment plans to each person’s goals and lifestyle.
