About Me
Dr. Phil Alabata is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience in eye surgery. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center and a glaucoma fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Alabata provides advanced surgical care for a range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and refractive errors. He specializes in LASIK, SMILE, and PRK surgery, as well as laser-assisted cataract surgery. He also performs glaucoma laser treatments and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, along with eyelid and brow procedures.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Alabata has a strong teaching background, having trained ophthalmology residents at Grady Memorial Hospital and the University of Florida Health. He served as a military physician for over nine years and was instrumental in establishing the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Fort Benning.
