Treatment plans may include intravitreal injections, laser therapy, or vitreoretinal surgery, and Dr. Wright emphasizes clear explanations so patients can make confident decisions about their care. He completed medical school at the University of Utah, an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston—where he received resident research awards—and a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Retina Consultants of Alabama/University of Alabama-Birmingham. He then pursued a glaucoma fellowship at UAB Callahan Eye Hospital & Clinics, gaining advanced experience in both medical and surgical management of complex glaucoma. Dr. Knox cares for patients with glaucoma, cataracts, and a full spectrum of general eye conditions, offering individualized treatment plans that balance vision goals, lifestyle, and long-term eye health. He believes in walking patients through their testing, imaging, and treatment options step by step, so they understand why a particular drop, laser procedure, or surgery is recommended.
