Dr. Stuart Ball

Dr. Stuart F. Ball is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He completed his medical training at the Medical University of South Carolina and his ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He then furthered his expertise with glaucoma fellowships at New York Eye and Ear and Ochsner Clinic, and he participated in Project Orbis, an international program teaching eye surgery in over 20 countries.

Dr. Ball joined the faculty at LSU in New Orleans, where he served as associate professor and residency director, conducting research on the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. He moved to Mobile in 1992 to join Premier Medical Group, where he continues to provide cutting-edge eye care. He has been recognized as a "Best Doctor in America" for over two decades and is known for being the first in Alabama to introduce innovative surgical techniques for glaucoma and cataracts.

Dr. Ball is committed to preserving and improving his patients' vision through comprehensive care, including advanced procedures like minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, and presbyopic correcting lenses.
