Meet Dr. Anthony Joseph Leoncavallo

Dr. Anthony "Andy" Leoncavallo is a board-certified, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon. He brings a unique background to his practice, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University and worked as an engineer for General Electric and Robert Bosch Corporation prior to his medical career. His engineering perspective informs his meticulous approach to patient care.

Dr. Leoncavallo received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his glaucoma fellowship at the University of Florida, where he was honored with the Resident of the Year Award. His training encompassed the full spectrum of glaucoma care, including medical management, laser treatments, and surgical procedures like shunting and filtering trabeculectomies. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
