About Me
Peter M. Brennen, MD is a board-certified Ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal, macular, and vitreous disorders. He provides care for conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and floaters.
Dr. Brennen completed his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh and earned his Medical Doctor Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He further trained with a medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at the same institution, gaining experience in pneumatic and laser retinopexy. His fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery was completed with the Charles Retina Institute and the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.
He is actively involved in professional activities, serving as an Attending Physician at Retina Associates, an Instructor at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and an Associate Editor for Seminars in Ophthalmology.
