Dr. Peter Livingston

Dr. Peter Livingston is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist who has been providing advanced retinal care since 1999. He is known for embracing innovative treatments such as Avastin injections for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular disease, as well as sutureless and endoscopic vitrectomies. His practice is equipped with lasers and a minor treatment room, allowing many procedures like retinal detachment repairs to be performed in-office. Dr. Livingston is committed to a patient-centered approach, influenced by his personal experience with his father's diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Livingston completed his residency and fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He previously practiced in Louisiana for ten years, where he founded the N.E. Louisiana Low Vision Group. His background includes research and authorship in viral immunology, and he has adopted in-office vitrectomy techniques to enhance patient convenience and outcomes.
