Dr. Maria Castanos Toral

Dr. Daniel Gologorsky, MD, MBA is an ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal (retina) specialist at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where he serves as Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology. He helps patients with a wide range of eye concerns, with special attention to conditions affecting the retina and vision-threatening changes that require careful diagnosis and timely treatment. Dr. Gologorsky completed ophthalmology residency training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and then pursued vitreoretinal fellowship training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan. He earned his medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School and later completed an MBA at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, focusing on healthcare and operations. An author of peer-reviewed publications and the 2020 textbook “Principles of Ocular Imaging,” Dr. Gologorsky is known for a conservative approach—recommending surgery only when other options are not appropriate—and for taking time to explain choices in clear, practical language.

Dr. Abdallah M. Jeroudi is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal specialist with Florida Retina Institute. He provides personalized care for a wide range of retinal conditions, with a focus on helping patients understand what is happening in their eyes and what treatment options are available. He earned a B.A. in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Jeroudi went on to complete ophthalmology residency training at the Emory Eye Center and then advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at The Retina Institute in St. Louis. His clinical interests include caring for patients with retinal detachment, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, macular hole, and retinal vein occlusion. He is also committed to advancing the field through research interests in uveitis/ocular inflammation, complex retinal detachment, and vitreoretinal surgical techniques and instrumentation.

Dr. Kyle Fallgatter is a vitreoretinal surgeon who treats the full range of medical and surgical retina conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and macular disorders. He offers advanced diagnostics and microsurgical care designed to protect the macula and preserve sight, and he partners closely with referring doctors to streamline urgent evaluations when vision changes quickly. A Jacksonville native and former U.S. Navy officer, Dr. Fallgatter earned a systems engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy, completed a master’s in medical sciences at the University of South Florida, and received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He practices at Florida Retina Institute, where he focuses on personalized, evidence-based care and communication that helps patients feel informed and supported.
