Dr. Jonathan Brugger

Dr. Jonathan Brugger is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides exceptional retinal care to southwest Florida. He completed a prestigious two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at the Charles Retina Institute in Memphis, TN, training directly with Dr. Steve Charles, a leader in modern vitreoretinal surgery. This advanced training equipped him with the most effective techniques to diagnose and treat a wide range of retinal conditions.

A native of Southwest Florida, Dr. Brugger is also a ten-year U.S. Navy Veteran. During his military service, he served as a comprehensive ophthalmologist, performing cataract and refractive surgery, and gained unique experience as a Diving Medical Officer, providing hyperbaric and general medicine for special operations personnel. He is proud to combine this diverse background with cutting-edge methods to serve his patients.
