Dr. Patrick Rapuano

Dr. Patrick Rapuano is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at MaineGeneral Eye Center. He provides medical and surgical eye care with special expertise in cataract surgery and the medical management of glaucoma and corneal disease. Patients also see him for laser procedures such as SLT and LPI, YAG capsulotomy, and evaluation of diabetic eye disease and dry eye. He strives for approachable, thorough visits where questions are welcomed and plans are tailored to each person’s goals.

Dr. Rapuano joined MaineGeneral in August 2023 after completing ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons and completed undergraduate studies at the College of the Holy Cross. His honors include the Behrens Memorial Prize in Ophthalmology. From routine exams to advanced cataract care and minimally invasive glaucoma options, he focuses on clear explanations and dependable outcomes.
