Dr. Nneka Brooks

Dr. Nneka O. Brooks is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist who joined NJRetina in 2018. She provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for retinal conditions, drawing from her extensive training and involvement in multi-center clinical trials. Dr. Brooks treats a range of retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and uveitis.

Dr. Brooks completed her ophthalmology residency at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School, where she received the Alfonse A. Cinotti Resident Award. She then finished a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Lahey Clinic and Hospital. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring medical students and residents and is a founding member of a scholarship supporting minority students pursuing ophthalmology and ENT training.
