About Me
Dr. Nicholas Farber is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon. A Florida native, he graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University, earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia, and completed ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of North Carolina.Dr. Farber cares for the full spectrum of medical and surgical retina conditions, providing evidence-based treatments such as office-based injections, laser therapies, and advanced vitrectomy techniques. Patients appreciate his clear explanations, thoughtful second opinions, and team-based approach to care. He is active in research and education and enjoys helping patients protect and improve their vision through personalized plans that match their goals.
