About Me
Dr. Nandini Venkateswaran is a cataract, cornea, and refractive surgeon at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, where she serves on the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Service. A New York native, she earned her medical degree with distinction in community health from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Duke Eye Center.
Dr. Venkateswaran strives to deliver personalized, multidisciplinary care using her clinical and surgical expertise. She specializes in a wide range of anterior segment conditions, including complex cataract surgery with premium lens technologies, femtosecond laser-assisted procedures, and cutting-edge corneal transplants such as DMEK and DSAEK. Her practice also focuses on laser refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, SMILE), corneal cross-linking for keratoconus, dry eye disease with advanced therapies, and the management of corneal dystrophies, pterygia, and ocular surface tumors.
As an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and other professional societies, Dr. Venkateswaran contributes to committees and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. She is committed to integrating research into her practice to offer patients the most effective and innovative treatments.
