Dr. Muhammad Shamim

Dr. Kim is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal specialist and board-certified ophthalmologist. He cares for the full spectrum of retina conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, as well as vein and artery occlusions. In the clinic he uses advanced imaging—such as OCT and fluorescein angiography—to make precise diagnoses, and offers evidence-based treatments including laser procedures and in-office injections when appropriate.After earning his medical degree from the University of Vermont, Dr. Kim completed ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, followed by additional vitreoretinal surgery training at the West Virginia University Eye Institute. Patients describe his manner as calm, thorough, and easy to understand. He takes time to outline each diagnosis, discuss risks and benefits of treatment, and coordinate closely with primary-care and endocrine teams for conditions like diabetes. Dr. Kim’s goal is straightforward: protect sight, minimize treatment burden, and help each patient return to the activities they value most.

Dr. Pedro Tetelbom is a retina and uveitis specialist who cares for adults with medical and surgical diseases of the back of the eye. He provides thorough evaluations and clear explanations so patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, whether that involves medications, in-office injections, laser, or advanced microsurgery. His goal is to preserve and restore sight while keeping care as comfortable and convenient as possible for each person he serves. Dr. Tetelbom earned his medical degree at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, completed ophthalmology residency at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, and went on to additional internship and ophthalmology residency training at New York Medical College. He finished a VitreoRetinal & Uveitis Fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Outside of clinic, he enjoys sports and traveling. He sees patients in Little Rock and welcomes referrals for complex retinal disorders and inflammatory eye disease.
