About Me
Dr. Michelle Crosby is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing expert eye care in San Diego. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University with honors and earned an NIH-funded scholarship to the Medical University of South Carolina, where she completed medical school and a PhD in molecular and cellular patho-biology with a focus on inflammation. Her research background in ocular inflammation informs her commitment to restoring and enhancing vision for patients with sight-threatening conditions.
Dr. Crosby is a strong patient advocate dedicated to delivering the highest level of care. She has worked as a liaison promoting diabetes management and eye care for underserved patients and continues to volunteer monthly at Father Joe’s Village Clinic in downtown San Diego. As an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at UCSD, she is recognized as a gifted teacher who shares her knowledge with patients and future ophthalmologists. Her research is extensively published, and she has presented at national and international meetings on topics including inflammation, eye disease, and uveal melanoma.
Dr. Crosby practices comprehensive ophthalmology, focusing on listening to patients’ concerns and educating them about their vision conditions. She is experienced in managing a wide range of eye diseases and performing surgeries to improve and protect vision.
