About Me
Matthew Duggan, MD, is a glaucoma specialist at Carolina Ophthalmology whose practice blends advanced surgical options with individualized care. He offers the newest minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), including iStent, and performs traditional procedures such as trabeculectomy and glaucoma tube shunt surgery when indicated. He also provides laser treatments like selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) and laser peripheral iridotomy, and has a special interest in custom cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses.
Dr. Duggan earned his medical degree at Wake Forest School of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon, and pursued a glaucoma fellowship at Duke University.
