About Me
Dr. Matthew Emanuel is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. He is a glaucoma specialist at Glaucoma Associates of Texas, providing comprehensive care for patients with glaucoma and cataracts.
Dr. Emanuel completed his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he received the American Heart Association research fellowship award and the J. Donald Gass Ophthalmology Award. He then completed his residency in ophthalmology at Emory University, serving as Chief Resident for two years. His clinical and surgical expertise was further honed through a glaucoma fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Emanuel is dedicated to patient education and stays actively involved in research, with numerous publications and presentations to his credit. He is fluent in Spanish, which allows him to communicate effectively with a wider range of patients. Outside of medicine, he enjoys snowboarding, traveling, and cooking.
