Dr. Mary Summers

Dr. Mary Summers is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She completed her undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University and her internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai. Her ophthalmology residency was completed at Louisiana State University Health Science Center and Ochsner Medical Center.

Dr. Summers is an active staff ophthalmologist at Lafayette General and Our Lady of Lourdes hospitals. She also serves as a Clinical Instructor at Louisiana State University and maintains active membership in professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Surgeons.
