Dr. Marib Akanda

Dr. Dagny Zhu is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, refractive, and cataract surgery. She offers laser vision correction and advanced lens options, including EVO Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) and custom lens replacement, and she performs corneal transplantation and other anterior-segment procedures to restore and protect vision. A Southern California native, Dr. Zhu earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA and her medical degree at Harvard Medical School, where she conducted research in corneal immunology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. She completed ophthalmology residency at the Doheny Eye Institute/University of Southern California (USC) & Los Angeles County Medical Center and advanced fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Zhu serves as Medical Director and Partner of NVISION Eye Centers and holds a clinical faculty appointment at Western University. Fluent in Mandarin, Shanghainese, and Spanish, she focuses on clear communication and individualized surgical planning so patients feel informed and confident about their options.

Dr. Giovanni H. Greaves is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery and medical retina. He cares for a wide range of retinal conditions—including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, vitreous floaters, and inherited retinal diseases—and also performs pterygium excision. Dr. Greaves is known for communicating clearly about diagnosis and options, and for tailoring treatment plans that balance vision, safety, and lifestyle. He earned his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, completed ophthalmology residency at Northwell Health (formerly North Shore–LIJ) where he served as chief resident, and pursued a medical retina fellowship at UCLA through the Jules Stein and Doheny Eye Institutes. From preventive care to ongoing injection therapy and surgical management when needed, Dr. Greaves partners closely with patients to preserve sight and quality of life.

Kathryn Lewis, MD, is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist serving patients at Acuity Eye Group in Orange County. She offers thoughtful, approachable care for routine and complex eye problems, with particular expertise in cataract surgery and the medical management of chronic conditions like dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Lewis is known for her attentive listening and clear explanations, helping each patient understand options and feel confident in their plan. Dr. Lewis graduated with honors from UC San Diego and earned her medical degree from UC Riverside School of Medicine. She completed ophthalmology residency at UT Health San Antonio, where she gained extensive experience in complex cataract procedures, upper eyelid surgery, emergency ocular care, and a range of laser and injection treatments. Today, she brings that broad skill set to individualized, evidence-based care focused on safety, comfort, and lasting visual outcomes.
