About Me
Dr. Marc Spirn is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Mid Atlantic Retina who specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular hole, macular pucker, retinal vascular disease, ocular trauma, and complications of cataract surgery. Dr. Spirn is also an attending surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital and an assistant professor in ophthalmology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Spirn is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. He has authored numerous scientific publications and book chapters and participates in clinical trials on vitreoretinal disease. Dr. Spirn is also involved in resident and medical student education as a lecturer for the Wills Eye Hospital ophthalmology residents.
