About Me
Dr. Leo Wang is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He is dedicated to restoring and preserving vision, understanding its importance to his patients' quality of life. Dr. Wang provides comprehensive care for glaucoma, offering both traditional and advanced surgical options. He is one of the few surgeons in Northwest Indiana to perform implanting the iStent Trabecular Micro-bypass stent and the first in the area to use the Micropulse P3 laser for glaucoma treatment. With a background that includes a residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Dr. Wang brings extensive experience to his practice. He co-founded Helix Eye Care and also serves as faculty in the residency program at John Stroger Hospital of Cook County, training future physicians. Dr. Wang's goal is to provide the best possible care using the latest surgical techniques.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sports.
