Dr. Blake Williams

Dr. Blake L. Williams is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Williams Eye Institute with a focus on cataract surgery, advanced intraocular lenses, and the medical and laser treatment of glaucoma. He joined the practice in 2020 and became board certified in 2021. Patients value his calm, collaborative style and his knack for explaining options in plain language so they can choose a plan that fits their vision and lifestyle.

Dr. Williams completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago Medicine, where he earned the Greenwald Award for Excellence in Extraocular Surgery as a first-year resident and developed a strong interest in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and laser procedures. He received his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine after graduating with honors in Human Biology from Stanford University. Outside of clinic, he enjoys running, biking, and time outdoors.

In practice, Dr. Williams offers modern cataract surgery with advanced lens technology—including Light Adjustable Lens options—alongside comprehensive eye care for conditions such as dry eye, keratoconus, and diabetic eye disease.
