About Me
Dr. Lauren Bierman is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced training in medical retina. She partners with adults living with chronic retinal conditions to protect sight over the long term, using evidence-based treatments and clear, compassionate communication at every visit. Patients value her knack for translating complex imaging and treatment choices into straightforward plans that fit real life.
Dr. Bierman earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency followed by a dedicated medical retina fellowship at the New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center. She enjoys collaborating closely with referring optometrists and primary care teams to coordinate care for diabetes, macular degeneration, and vascular eye disease. Her practice includes state-of-the-art retinal imaging and in-office therapies designed to maximize vision and minimize downtime. Outside clinic, she is committed to patient education and prevention, emphasizing regular dilated exams and prompt attention to new floaters, flashes, or vision changes.
