About Me

Dr. Lars Andersen is a vitreoretinal surgery fellow at Cincinnati Eye Institute. He cares for patients with retinal disease as part of CEI’s retina team and is trained in the medical and surgical management of macular and retinal disorders. His background combines rigorous clinical training with an interest in clear, timely communication so patients understand their diagnosis and options. Dr. Andersen earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brown University and graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson University for medical school. He completed an internship in internal medicine and an ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University, where he served as academic chief resident. He is currently completing a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Cincinnati Eye Institute.
