About Me
Dr. Kyla Aschenbeck is a board-certified cataract, cornea, and refractive surgeon dedicated to helping patients see clearly with fewer visual aids. She treats diseases of the cornea and ocular surface and offers vision-correcting procedures tailored to each patient’s lifestyle. Dr. Aschenbeck graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern in Dallas, completed an internal medicine internship at UC San Diego, and finished ophthalmology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where she served as chief resident. She then completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Wisconsin, serving as a clinical instructor. Her surgical practice includes advanced cataract surgery and the latest corneal transplantation techniques. Patients value her thoughtful counseling, steady hands, and practical, step-by-step plans for improving comfort and vision.
