Dr. Farhan Irshad

Dr. Farhan Irshad is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in advanced cataract and corneal surgery. He is fellowship-trained in cornea and refractive surgery and has extensive experience in laser cataract surgery, LASIK, and microinvasive glaucoma procedures. He sees both adults and children for a range of eye conditions.

Dr. Irshad completed his medical degree at the University of Tennessee and his residency and fellowship at Tulane Medical Center. He previously served as Director of Cornea and Refractive Laser Surgery at Wallace Eye Associates and currently holds an academic appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor at Tulane. He is actively involved in teaching and surgical training.

Recognized as a 2019 Top Doctor in Ophthalmology by Austin Monthly, Dr. Irshad is committed to providing the latest surgical innovations, including partial-thickness corneal transplants. He is also dedicated to community service, participating in medical missions and vision screenings for underserved populations.
