About Me
Dr. Haumith Khan-Farooqi is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and refractive surgery. He treats a wide range of ocular conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, pterygium, corneal ulcers, ocular surface tumors, and corneal trauma. His clinical focus includes managing complex corneal infections and performing corneal transplants, as well as reducing the need for glasses through cataract surgery and PRK/LASEK.
Dr. Khan-Farooqi completed his medical education at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, followed by an internship in internal medicine and an ophthalmology residency at Tulane University. He then pursued a clinical fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Harvard Medical School. He now maintains a full-time clinical practice in Austin and serves as affiliate faculty at UT Dell Medical School, mentoring medical students and ophthalmology residents.
In his personal time, Dr. Khan-Farooqi enjoys spending time with his family, following college sports, and traveling.
