About Me
Dr. Kaushik Annam is a glaucoma fellow and clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. He completed his medical degree at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and his ophthalmology residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Annam is currently pursuing advanced subspecialty training in glaucoma at the Kellogg Eye Center, where he is involved in the management of complex glaucoma cases and participates in the education of medical students and residents.
As a glaucoma specialist, Dr. Annam focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of various forms of glaucoma, including primary open-angle glaucoma, angle-closure glaucoma, and secondary glaucomas. He is trained in both medical and surgical management of glaucoma, including the latest minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), laser procedures, and traditional glaucoma surgeries such as trabeculectomy and tube shunt implantation. Dr. Annam is dedicated to providing personalized care to his patients, with an emphasis on preserving vision and improving quality of life.
Dr. Annam is actively involved in the academic mission of the Kellogg Eye Center, contributing to clinical research and the training of future ophthalmologists. His commitment to advancing the field of glaucoma care is reflected in his ongoing fellowship training and his role as a clinical instructor.
