Dr. Kathryn B. Freidl is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and cataract surgery. Dr. Freidl is one of the first surgeons in Jacksonville trained in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and laser cataract surgery, reflecting her commitment to innovative, patient-centered care.
After earning her medical degree, Dr. Freidl completed her residency at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where she trained in the management of cataracts, cornea and external disease, glaucoma, retinal pathology, uveitis, and neuro-ophthalmic conditions. She then honed her expertise through a surgical glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Wills Eye Institute.
