Dr. Omar Gayasaddin
Ophthalmology – Glaucoma Specialist
About Me
Dr. Omar Gayasaddin is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who cares for patients with cataracts, glaucoma, and a wide range of general eye concerns. He joined Florida Eye Specialists in 2021 after serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida, where he ran glaucoma clinics and supervised resident physicians in both clinic and the operating room. Patients appreciate his calm, clear explanations and his focus on matching each treatment plan to their goals and daily life.
Dr. Gayasaddin completed ophthalmology residency at Touro University/Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Florida. He earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine and was consistently on the Dean’s List. In addition to cataract and glaucoma surgery, his training exposed him to corneal procedures and comprehensive surgical care. Outside the clinic, he enjoys staying active, traveling, and time with family. He welcomes new patients in Jacksonville for thorough evaluations, second opinions, and ongoing eye health management.
