Dr. Justin Harris
About Me
Dr. Justin Harris is a board-certified Army ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. A native Texan, he brings a mission-driven, patient-first approach to every visit and enjoys helping service members and veterans achieve clearer, more comfortable vision. At Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Cavazos, he offers modern laser vision correction and advanced lens-based options tailored to each patient’s goals.
Dr. Harris graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. After a transitional year at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, he served as a flight surgeon with the 101st Airborne Division. He then completed ophthalmology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC), training at Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center. His surgical interests include LASIK, PRK, ICL, refractive lens exchange (RLE), cataract surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
