Meet Dr. Luke Anthony Barker

Dr. Luke Barker is dedicated to personalized surgical vision correction, believing each patient's visual needs are unique to their lifestyle. He aims to help patients achieve happier, healthier lives through exceptional visual outcomes and a family-like patient experience.

Dr. Barker specializes in LASIK, laser cataract surgery, refractive lens surgery, and comprehensive eye care, including glaucoma treatment with MIGS. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. In 2025, he joined Westlake Eye Specialists as a leading cataract, refractive, and MIGS surgeon, after nearly a decade as lead cataract and refractive surgeon at Mann Eye Institute in Austin. He earned his medical degree from East Tennessee State University and completed his ophthalmology residency at Texas A&M, serving as chief resident. With over 25,000 refractive surgery procedures, he brings extensive expertise to patients in Austin and surrounding areas.

Committed to giving back, Dr. Barker has volunteered on medical missions in Mexico, Belize, and Fiji, and contributes locally through Cornerstone Free Clinic. Outside of work, he enjoys an active lifestyle with his family, including tennis, cycling, hiking, and travel.
