About Me

Dr. Joseph Juliano is a medical and surgical retina specialist dedicated to attentive, compassionate care for conditions that affect the macula and peripheral retina. Patients appreciate his clear explanations, from why vision changes happen to how imaging and treatment plans work, and his steady follow-through during procedures and follow-up. He tailors care for each person, balancing clinic-based therapies with surgery when needed. Dr. Juliano completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at the University of Southern California and a vitreoretinal fellowship with Associated Retina Consultants in Royal Oak, Michigan. He joined Retina Associates in Tucson in 2024 and cares for patients across multiple offices. His practice includes evaluation and treatment for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachment, and other macular disorders. Whether recommending anti-VEGF injections, laser, or vitrectomy, Dr. Juliano focuses on evidence-based decisions and close communication with referring eye care providers to safeguard vision over the long term.
