Dr. Jose Cijin Puthussery

Dr. Jose Cijin Puthussery is an experienced ophthalmologist specializing in neuro-ophthalmology and glaucoma. He brings a unique blend of expertise in complex neuro-ophthalmology, strabismus, ocular oncology, cataract, and medical glaucoma. His practice focuses on managing intracranial hypertension, paretic muscle surgeries post-stroke, diplopia, nystagmus, optic neuropathies, thyroid eye disease, and various ocular tumors including conjunctival and iris tumors, choroidal melanoma, and retinoblastoma. He also treats pediatric and angle-closure glaucoma.

Dr. Puthussery earned his medical degree and completed ophthalmology residency at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He pursued advanced fellowships at Emory University, Cleveland Clinic, and the University of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.
