About Me

Nelli Galoyan, MD, is a neuro-ophthalmologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center who cares for patients with vision problems caused by optic nerve and brain disorders. She commonly evaluates double vision, irregular eye movements, and pupillary abnormalities, and works closely with neurology and other specialties to deliver coordinated care. Her training includes residency and fellowships in ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology, most recently at Duke University Medical Center and at Ohio State.

Dr. Galoyan’s approach is to treat the whole person, not just the disease. She partners with patients and families to choose treatments that align with their needs and values, and she enjoys teaching medical students and residents as part of her academic role. Her research interests include optic nerve treatments and advancing ophthalmic imaging to better understand disease. She also speaks Armenian and Russian and welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds.
